Whew, what a day. Our offline business is going to be the focus of my next Thursawday project. I should have the details out by the end of this month. This project will last all of 2008.

I’m going to use this space from time to time to write about the progress of the offline project and sales results versus projections. The numbers will be generic and not in dollar figures, but should give an idea of creating a project, working on it and doing some weekly self-analysis.

The first thing I chose as a project was to create some activity among peers. I talked to one of the other salesmen in our region and we’re going to meet once a month for lunch to discuss sales in one particular line of business. Calling him on the first for a meeting the middle of each month.

Listening to the Iowa caucus results tonight on Sirius 131 Fox News and it sounds like Mike Huckabee on the Republican side and Barack Obama on the Democratic side are going to come out on top.

Fox sure bashes Hillary Clinton a lot. They are talking like this is a very negative thing for Clinton. I said in a show last year that I don’t know what the lineup will be but it will be an Obama-Clinton ticket in November. Maybe it’s Clinton-Obama, but I believe the two of them will be there together, despite the negative crosstalk between the two.

I could be totally wrong, who knows, but this ticket seems like a major disruption to the typical political race. The country needs some sort of major change. What does this political stuff have to do with ThurSAWday? Hey, it’s what I’m doing this evening.

Earlier today I demoed a neat live web video with chat setup. That might come in handy somewhere down the road in spreading the Thursawday message.

From last week to this week it’s been almost all holiday time. This week between Christmas and New Year’s feels like a half work week.

It’s these slower times, however, that you can make some serious progress on creating, defining and taking action on a new project. With New Year’s next week now is the time to make 2008 resolutions. Are you game?

We had our dryer go out on us and have to mail some last minute packages, but stopping in briefly to post a screenshot and say a few quick words.

What’s going on with Thursawday, you ask? More will be revealed soon. I know, I know, keep saying that. Keep in mind this is a 15 year project. It’s like a fine wine that takes time to age. I’m a bit bummed that Google ganked the page rank for this site. Not sure why they would do that as we’re not selling any page rank and aren’t doing anything deceptive SEO-wise.

It might just be that they don’t understand what is here so they don’t want to see it ranking. That part is understandable at this point. I’m sure in good time they’ll rank the pages again.
